ABOUT this blog
Welcome,
I’m Neil Andrew Spacey of NASArchitects and this blog is to offer an unpretentious window on my activities. Think of it as a ‘pin-board’ to display a portfolio of work and share interesting news & research filtered from my everyday activities. The blog will try and retain a professional non-partisan focus but not be totally devoid of personal opinion. I will also offer up inspiring ‘stuff’ from wider, non-building areas of interest to hopefully give potential clients further insight into me, my interests and motivations. These are useful things for a client to know and go towards building a successful relationship with their architect.
This Blog is a counterpoint to the contrived ‘look but don’t touch’ message portrayed by many architects’ websites, who, in my opinion, seem to target haughty ‘products’ at specific types of client. In reality I work for normal people who have usually never before considered employing an architect, and the business of designing for real people is much more of a dialogue, so a typical architect’s website format just isn’t me.
If you are interested in the ramblings of this rural Welsh architect trying to make a go of it and enjoy his work producing honest, timely, environmentally conscious buildings I hope you stay tuned. Please feel free to make contact with me at the office or add your comments or questions to the blog at any time.
Many thanks for reading!
Neil
